Al Amanah College Hosts its Second Annual ^Umrah Recognition Dinner

Australia - On Thursday, 16 May 2025, Al Amanah College proudly hosted its second ^Umrah Recognition Dinner, celebrating the 2025 school ^Umrah trip shared by students from Al Amanah College, Salamah College, and Glenroy Private. This year’s group included 18 participants who embarked on a meaningful spiritual journey to Makkah and Madinah.

The evening was gracefully emceed by Mr Walid Dabboussi, an Al Amanah graduate and current teacher at Salamah College who also supervised the ^Umrah trip. The program began with a beautiful Qur’anic recitation by Mohammed Kassem, setting a spiritual tone for the evening.

Distinguished guest Sheikh Salim Alwan, Chairman of Darulfatwa – Islamic High Council of Australia, delivered a powerful address, reminding the students of the virtues of ^Umrah and the importance of maintaining their religious commitment. Hajj Mohammad Mehio, President of the ICPA, also spoke, commending the initiative and emphasising the value of nurturing young Muslims through spiritually enriching experiences.

A special religious talk by Sheikh Mahmoud Alwan added further insight to the evening, and a video presentation captured the profound moments of the journey. Each student received a recognition award in honour of their commitment and spiritual growth.

Heartfelt student reflections followed, along with words of gratitude from Mr Ayman Alwan, who acknowledged the efforts of the supervising teachers and thanked sponsors Zein Accounting, PhysioGoals, and Armani Travel for their generous support.

Al Amanah College thank to all who made this trip and event possible, and Al Amanah College look forward to continuing this meaningful tradition.
