Celebrating Academic Excellence at Al Amanah College
Australia - On Wednesday the 1st of July 2026, Al Amanah College Liverpool hosted its Term 2, K-6 Academic Achievers Assembly, a special event dedicated to recognising and celebrating the academic efforts of students in various fields. The assembly highlighted excellence in Literacy, Numeracy, Arabic, Religion, and student behaviour, commending students' dedication and commitment to their studies.
The event began with a warm introduction by Ms El Sabeh, welcoming teachers and students to this important celebration, and highlighting the significance of acknowledging students' hard work. The aim of this recognition was to inspire all students to strive for their personal best. Following this, was the recitation of the Holy Quran by a Year 6 student, Luluwa.
Awards were presented in several categories, including:
- Religion Academic Achiever: Recognising a student who demonstrated a deep understanding and commitment to religious studies.
- Qur'an Competition Award: Recognising a student who demonstrated excellence in Qur'an recitation. This award also recognised all students who participated in the Qur'an Competition.
- Arabic Academic Achiever: Recognising a student who excelled in Arabic studies, showing dedication and a strong ability to communicate in the language.
- Literacy Academic Achiever: Recognising a student who excelled in literacy, demonstrating skills in reading, writing, and language, and who regularly engaged in class discussions.
- Numeracy Academic Achiever: Honouring a student who showed a clear understanding of mathematical concepts and problem-solving.
- Class Dojo High Achiever: Acknowledging a student who consistently displayed positive behaviour and responsibility throughout the semester.
- Wellbeing Academic Achiever Award: Recognising a student who consistently demonstrated outstanding positive behaviour, respect for others, and who received the highest number of positive pastoral acknowledgements throughout the semester.
The ceremony continued with the presentation of awards, from K-6, with each group receiving an enthusiastic applause from their peers and teachers. The celebration of these achievements emphasised the importance of academic success while also acknowledging the values of hard work and dedication.
The Academic Achievers Assembly not only celebrated the success of high-achieving students but also aimed to inspire the primary students to continue their journey of academic and personal development. This assembly reflects Al Amanah College’s commitment to creating a positive and supportive environment, encouraging all students to excel in their academic pursuits and grow as responsible, motivated individuals.
